The E-Z Spa OM Care Kit™
contains all the chemicals needed to prepare and balance your
spa water for simple once-a-week maintenance featuring our unique
E-Z Spa OM™ multi-tasking compound.
E-Z Spa OM Care Kit™ Includes: 1 lb. E-Z Spa OM™, 8 oz. E-Z Pre-Start™, 1 lb. E-Z Boost™ , 1 lb. E-Z Up™, 1 ½ lb. E-Z Down™, 1 lb. E-Z Cal™, test strips and 1 oz. measuring scoop.
E-Z Spa OM™ Directions for Use:
NOTE: Run the circulation pump continuously when applying all chemicals and at least 8 hours per day.
1) Treat water with E-Z Pre-Start™ to remove metals, phosphates and carbonates, if applicable.
2) Balance your spa water by using E-Z Up™ or E-Z Down™ to adjust both Alkalinity and pH; and E-Z Cal™ to increase Calcium Hardness.
Spa water should be balanced to:
Alkalinity: 80-120 ppm
pH Level: 7.2 - 7.8 pH
Calcium Hardness: 250-400 ppm
E-Z Spa OM™ will help to manage your balance ranges; however, we suggest checking the balances ranges weekly. The proper time to test spa water is prior to the weekly E-Z Spa OM™ dosage. Generally, you should wait 8 hours between or after adjusting each factor before obtaining another accurate test reading.
3) E-Z Boost™: Initiate start-up with 1 oz. (two tablespoons) per 200 gallons, added with spa pump running. The next dose and weekly thereafter should be a minimum of 1 oz. per 350 gallons, slightly more for heavier use. It is recommended to wait a minimum of 4 hours after applying chemicals before entering the tub.
4) E-Z Spa OM™: Initially and each week thereafter, dose with 1 oz. (2 tablespoons) per 200 gallons of water for spas assisted by ozone or mineral purifiers (or 1 oz. per 100 gallons with no ozone or mineral purifier assistance) by simply dissolving product in circulating water near any spa jet.
It is not unusual for pH to drop slightly after dosing. Buffers will adjust pH back up typically in 24 – 48 hours. Test for pH and adjust before weekly dosing of
E-Z Spa OM™ and E-Z Boost™, as opposed to after.
5) Pressure rinse the filter cartridge regularly: Generally, you should pressure rinse your filter cartridge each week or as needed to maintain clear water. It should not be necessary to chemically clean or soak your cartridge.
Routine Maintenance
In conjunction with OZONE or MINERAL PURIFIER, use 1 oz. (2
tbsp.) of E-Z Spa OM™ per 200 gallons
once-a-week for typical spa usage; and use minimum of 1 oz.
of Dichlor (E-Z Boost™) per 350 gallons
weekly, slightly more E-Z Spa OM™ for
heavier use. Wait at least 1 hr. for chemicals to circulate
before entering tub. E-Z Spa OM™
and sanitizer may be added simultaneously.
E-Z Spa OM™ also makes
spa water care simple and dependable without ozone or mineral
purifiers. Just increase the E-Z Spa OM™
dosage to 1 oz. per 100 gallons of spa water and proceed with
the same routine maintenance instructions above.
Test weekly and after heavy use for 1.0 or
better “Total Chlorine” and balance with a 5-way
chlorine test strip. Adjust weekly dosage or spot dose as
needed. Have water tested monthly for balance by an Authorized
Dealer. Pressure rinse filter cartridge every 2 weeks
or as needed to maintain clear water.
